NUTRITION & WELLNESS

One Meal. Many Ways to Log It. Discover FuelOra's Smarter Meal Logging Experience.

Your food. Your routine. Your way to log.

From searching for foods and scanning barcodes to logging recipes, repeating favorite meals, and exploring AI-assisted recognition, FuelOra is bringing meal tracking together in one connected nutrition experience.

Meal Logging Should Fit Your Life

Not every meal is the same. Some days you prepare breakfast at home. Other days you grab something packaged, cook a recipe, or enjoy a meal you have eaten many times before.

So why should every meal require the same logging process?

At FuelOra Wellness, we believe meal logging should adapt to the way people actually eat.

That's why our Log a Meal experience brings together multiple ways to record food, helping you spend less time entering information and more time building consistent habits.

1. Search and Log Foods

Sometimes the simplest approach is the best.

Search the food catalog, select what you ate, review the available nutrition information, adjust the portion where supported, and add it to your meal log.

Whether you're recording breakfast, lunch, dinner, or a snack, food search provides a familiar and straightforward way to track everyday eating.

Find your food. Review your portion. Log your meal.

2. Scan a Barcode for Packaged Foods

Packaged foods are part of everyday life. Logging them shouldn't require searching through long lists of similar products.

FuelOra supports barcode-based product lookup, helping identify packaged foods using their product barcode.

You can also enter a barcode manually when scanning isn't convenient.

Once a product is identified, review its available nutrition and serving information before adding it to your log.

Barcode identification and nutrition completeness can vary by product. Always review serving information.

3. Log Your Saved Meals

Have a breakfast combination you enjoy regularly? Or a lunch made up of several foods you eat together?

FuelOra's Saved Meals experience lets you reuse meal combinations instead of rebuilding them item by item.

A saved meal can represent multiple foods that belong together, making it easier to maintain your routine.

Build it once. Reuse it when you need it.

4. Quickly Reuse Recent Meals

Many of us eat similar foods throughout the week.

FuelOra makes it easier to return to meals you've logged recently.

Instead of searching for the same foods repeatedly, you can use your recent meal history as a starting point.

It's a practical way to reduce repetitive work while maintaining consistent nutrition records.

5. Repeat a Previous Meal

Had the same breakfast as yesterday?

You shouldn't have to enter everything again.

FuelOra supports repeating a previously logged meal, helping you record familiar choices more efficiently.

This is especially useful for people who follow a regular meal routine.

Consistency becomes easier when repetition doesn't mean extra work.

6. Log Meals from Recipes

Cooking at home often involves multiple ingredients, preparation steps, and serving sizes.

FuelOra connects recipe-based food experiences with meal logging.

Rather than starting from scratch after preparing a recipe, you can use the recipe as the basis for your meal entry and review the relevant serving details.

This creates a more natural connection between discovering what to cook and recording what you actually ate.

Discover. Cook. Enjoy. Log.

7. Connect Your Meal Plan with Your Food Log

Planning a meal and eating a meal are two different things.

Your plans may change throughout the day. You might follow your planned lunch, choose something different, or adjust your meal based on what's available.

FuelOra connects planned meals with meal completion and replacement workflows.

This helps bridge the gap between what you intended to eat and what you actually consumed.

The result is a more connected nutrition experience where meal planning and meal logging work together rather than existing as separate activities.

8. Describe Your Meal with AI

What if you could describe your meal naturally instead of searching for each ingredient?

"I had grilled chicken, brown rice, roasted vegetables, and a small salad."

FuelOra's AI-assisted Describe Meal experience is designed to interpret everyday food descriptions and help identify the foods in a meal.

The objective is to make food entry more conversational while keeping users in control of reviewing and confirming the results.

Describe Meal is undergoing additional reliability validation and is not currently enabled in Production.

9. Capture a Meal with a Photo

Sometimes taking a picture feels easier than typing.

FuelOra's photo-assisted meal recognition experience is designed to help identify foods from a meal image.

The intended workflow is simple: capture a photo, review the identified foods, confirm portions, and complete the meal entry.

Photo recognition is an assistive experience, not a guarantee of precise ingredients or serving sizes.

Photo-assisted meal recognition is under development and validation; it is not currently available as a reliable Production logging method.

10. Log Through Voice

Imagine finishing a meal and simply saying what you ate.

"For breakfast, I had two eggs, whole-grain toast, and a banana."

FuelOra's voice-assisted logging experience is designed to make meal descriptions more convenient when typing isn't practical.

Voice input can help capture a description, while food identification and user confirmation remain important parts of the logging process.

Voice-assisted meal logging is currently disabled in Production while integration validation continues.

Review Your Nutrition, Not Just Your Food List

Meal logging becomes more meaningful when you understand what your meals contribute to your daily nutrition.

FuelOra helps bring food records and nutrition awareness together, including information about:

  • Calories and overall energy intake
  • Protein consumption
  • Carbohydrates
  • Dietary fats
  • Serving sizes and portions
  • Daily nutrition progress

Nutrition values depend on the accuracy and completeness of the underlying food information.

Our goal is to make that information easier to understand and use in everyday decisions.

Your Meal History, Your Progress

A useful food log is more than a record of what happened today.

FuelOra's meal history allows you to revisit logged meals and manage your entries.

When plans change or an entry needs correction, editing and deleting meal records helps keep your log meaningful.

The purpose isn't to create a perfect record every day. It's to build greater awareness of your habits over time.

One Connected Food Experience

Meal logging is just one part of the food journey.

FuelOra brings together recipe discovery, meal planning, cooking, nutrition tracking, and meal history.

Our vision is to make the experience feel connected:

Discover → Plan → Prepare → Eat → Log → Learn

Different meals call for different logging methods. FuelOra gives users multiple ways to approach that task without losing sight of the bigger picture.

Less Logging. More Living.

We don't believe wellness technology should make everyday life more complicated.

Some meals are best logged through a quick food search. Others are easier to record using saved meals, recipes, or barcode lookup.

And as our AI-assisted experiences complete validation, natural-language, photo, and voice input will offer additional ways to simplify the process.

The best way to log a meal is the way that works for you.

That's the experience we're building at FuelOra.
